Binance Futures Calculator: Estimating Margin, Liquidation, and Fees Before You Trade
Binance gives you a built-in calculator on the futures trading screen that estimates margin, but it won't total up fees across dozens of trades the way a dedicated fee calculator will.

a built-in calculator on the futures trading screen that estimates margin, liquidation price, and PnL before you submit.
Inputs That Change the Output the Most
Entry price, position size, leverage, and margin mode all move the liquidation-price estimate. Get any one of them wrong and the number the calculator shows won't match what actually happens on your real position.

Margin Mode Changes the Math on Binance
Isolated and cross margin, switchable per symbol from the margin-mode toggle before you open a position — run the calculator for both if you're unsure which one you'll actually use before opening the position.
What an Exchange Calculator Usually Leaves Out
Binance's own calculator focuses on one position at a time. It typically won't total the funding paid across a holding period, or compare your effective cost against another exchange's fee schedule for the same trade size.
A Two-Step Habit Worth Building
Use Binance's built-in calculator for the liquidation price on a specific position, then run your expected monthly volume through a broader fee calculator to see the total cost picture, including the BNB discount and funding.
- Exchange calculator for liquidation price per position
- Fee calculator for total cost across a trading period
- Recheck both after any change to leverage or size
