Sent Crypto to Binance on the Wrong Network? Here's What's Actually Recoverable
A wrong-network deposit to Binance isn't automatically a lost cause — but it isn't automatically recoverable either, and the difference depends entirely on which two networks were involved.

This happens when the network selected on Binance's deposit screen doesn't match the network the sending wallet actually used — for example, sending BEP20 USDT to an address Binance generated for the ERC20 network.
The Cases That Are Sometimes Recoverable
If the two networks are related closely enough — some EVM-compatible chains share address formats — Binance support can sometimes manually recover the funds, though it typically requires a support ticket, proof of the transaction, and can take a meaningful amount of time. This is never guaranteed.

The Cases That Usually Aren't
Sending to a fundamentally different, non-compatible chain (a transaction that doesn't resolve to a valid address format on the intended network at all) is typically unrecoverable — the receiving chain never saw anything it could interpret as a transaction meant for you.
What to Do Immediately
Right away:
- Don't send anything else while sorting this out
- Gather the transaction hash (TXID) immediately
- Open a Binance support ticket describing exactly which two networks were involved
- Be patient — manual recovery, when possible, is not fast
Preventing a Repeat
Reconfirm the exact network on both the sending side and Binance's deposit screen every time, especially on a coin with many network options like USDT — this single habit prevents almost all wrong-network deposits before they happen.
