Reconsider First

If the issue is security concerns rather than wanting to leave entirely, tightening 2FA and reviewing sessions is reversible — closure generally isn't.

Pre-Closure Checklist

Go through this before requesting closure:

  • Cancel all open orders across every pair, including smaller ones you may have forgotten
  • Close any open futures positions
  • Withdraw every remaining balance, checking the network for each token
  • Resolve any pending support tickets or verification requests

Why Small Balances Get Left Behind

A wide catalog of listed tokens means it's easy to have a small leftover balance in something you traded once and forgot about. Check your full asset list, not just your usual pairs, before submitting the closure request.

Submitting the Request

Use the account closure option in settings if available, or contact support directly if it isn't visible for your account.

Data Retention

Some records are typically kept for a regulatory-defined period after closure, independent of your deletion request.

Reopening Later

Re-registration policies after closure can vary and change over time — don't assume you can sign up again immediately with the same identity.

One Last Sweep Before You Submit

Go through your transaction history one more time, not just your current balances — sometimes a dust amount from an old airdrop or a forgotten small-cap trade sits in a wallet you haven't opened in months. It won't necessarily block closure, but it's easier to deal with while you still have full account access.

Once the account is closed, retrieving a forgotten dust balance becomes far more difficult, so treat this sweep as the last real opportunity to catch it.
