Getting Crypto Onto MEXC When the Coin You Want Is Barely a Week Old
MEXC's catalog is so wide that the real deposit risk isn't the steps — it's whether a brand-new listing even supports the network you're about to use.

MEXC lists an unusually large number of altcoins, including tokens that are only days old. A newly listed coin sometimes supports just one or two networks at first, unlike a coin that's been around for years and has broad multi-chain support.
The Steps, Same as Anywhere Else — Mostly
Follow these in order, but read the next section before the last one:
- Open Assets > Deposit and search for the coin
- Check which networks are actually listed for it (don't assume all the usual ones are there)
- Select the matching network on your sending wallet
- Copy the address and, if relevant, the contract address for that chain
- Send a small test amount first on anything unfamiliar
Contract Addresses Are Not Interchangeable Across Chains
A token's contract address on one chain is not the same as its bridged version on another chain. Assuming otherwise, and sending to the wrong contract on the wrong network, is one of the few crypto mistakes that has no undo button.

MX and Kickstarter-Linked Funding
MX is MEXC's own token, and some Kickstarter-style programs on MEXC ask users to fund an account before an allocation window — in those cases, deposit timing relative to the program's cutoff matters as much as the deposit itself.
The MEXC-Specific Pitfall
Assuming a token's contract address is identical across every chain it happens to be available on — check the specific chain's contract address on MEXC's deposit screen every time, not just the first time.
