Wrong Network on OKX, or Wrong Wallet Entirely? Two Different Problems to Untangle
Before troubleshooting a wrong-network deposit on OKX, rule out the more common mix-up first — sending to the Web3 wallet instead of the trading account entirely.

A genuine network mismatch means the sending wallet used a different chain than the one selected on OKX's Assets > Deposit screen. A wallet mix-up means the funds went to the correct chain but the wrong destination entirely — the separate, self-custody Web3 wallet instead of the custodial trading account. These need different fixes.
If It's the Web3 Wallet Mix-Up
This is usually the easier case — the funds are still in your control inside the Web3 wallet, and can typically be moved manually to the trading account (or sent back out) once you locate them there, since you hold the keys either way.

If It's a Genuine Network Mismatch
Recovery here depends on whether the two chains are closely related and address-format-compatible — OKX support can sometimes manually recover funds through a ticket process in that case, though it takes time and isn't guaranteed for incompatible chains.
Immediate Steps
Do this in order:
- Check the Web3 wallet first — this rules out the more common, more recoverable case
- Stop sending more funds while investigating
- Save the transaction hash (TXID)
- Open an OKX support ticket only if it's a genuine network mismatch, naming both chains
Avoiding This Next Time
Confirm you're on the Assets > Deposit screen (not the Web3 wallet) before even checking the network, then match the sending wallet's chain to the tag OKX shows.
